Job Description

Full Time:
Yes
Number of Workers Requested:
48
Job Duties:
***RFI Response*** Workers will sell and serve food and beverages that are precooked, ready to heat, prepared from a mix, or ready to assemble. Items include chili, hot dogs, sausage, burgers, nachos, lemonade, pizza slices, fountain drinks, and popcorn. Hot Dogs, Sausage, Burgers, Nachos, and Similar Items: Meats and toppings requiring heating are precooked. Workers use a grill and commercial sauce warmers to bring items to serving temperature. Cheese sauce and chili are canned. Bread items, including tortillas, tortilla chips, buns, rolls, and Texas toast, are packaged. Raw toppings such as tomatoes, onions, and lettuce are sliced or broken apart using a knife, cutting board, or hands, placed into small bags, and made available for patrons to add after service. Condiments such as pickles, mustard, mayonnaise, and pickled jalapeños are provided at a kiosk. Workers open canned cheese sauce and chili and pour them into warmers; add oil to the grill; place precooked meats and toppings on the grill using tongs; and heat or toast bread, sometimes applying butter first. Workers then assemble ingredients according to the patron's order. Examples include nachos with chips, cheese, and toppings; hot dogs with optional cheese, chili, or other toppings; and hamburgers with optional toppings. Prepared items are placed on the counter for patrons. Lemonade: Workers use a cutting board, knife, and juice squeezer. They cut lemons in half, scoop ice into a cup, place lemon halves into the juicer, and operate the juicer to dispense juice into the cup. They discard the rinds, repeat until sufficient juice is obtained, add premixed sugar water, stir the beverage, apply a lid, and place the cup on the counter for the patron. Pizza Slices: Pizza arrives prepared, precooked, and topped. Workers select the requested slice and use tongs to place it into a conveyor oven for reheating. Once heated, they remove it with a spatula, place it on a serving plate, and put it on the counter for the patron. Fountain Drinks: Workers scoop ice into a cup, use the cup to operate the beverage-machine lever and dispense the selected beverage, place a lid on the cup, and put it on the counter for the patron. Popcorn: Workers use a commercial popcorn popper. They place popcorn, butter, and flavoring into the popper basket. Once popped, the popcorn is released into the serving section. Workers add salt and flavoring, mix the popcorn using a metal scoop, scoop it into a serving box, and place the box on the counter for the patron. ***Original Duties*** Perform variety of attending duties at mobile food concession.
