- Job Duties:
- Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area. List of Equipment: John Deere R series tractors with power shift transmission, John Deere 4026R Sprayers, John Deere S670 & S680 Combines, John Deere CP 690 Cotton Picker, Tractor Trucks for pulling hopper bottom trailers to the grain elevator, we use a lot of poly pipe to flood irrigate crops, and we have 5 center pivots used to irrigate crops. - Extensive pushing, pulling, sitting and walking. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Frequent stooping. Repetitive movements. Employer requires a drug screen post hire at employer's expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post hire at employer's expense due to the presence of children on the farm. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Minimum of (3) months experience required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days of hire. No minimum education required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
