Job Duties:
We are a row crop grain farm focused on production of corn, soybeans, wheat, popcorn and organic row crops. We primarily produce identity preserved grains such as NGMO corn or variety specific soybeans for end users and require skilled team members that have a high attention to detail. We are looking for team members that are also hard-working and passionate about agriculture, and will work with other team members to complete seasonal goals. Responsible for daily farm operations including but not limited to operating farm equipment, maintenance support of farm equipment, maintaining the appearance of the farm, and assisting the Operations Supervisor in achieving farm goals. Efficiently and safely perform all crop and field tasks assigned by supervisor. Utilize farm equipment to perform daily tasks including but not limited to tillage, grain cart operation, and roadside mowing, grain facility cleaning and maintenance, equipment cleaning, chainsaw operation, and assistance which tile repair and land improvement projects. Must be knowledgeable with data mapping, iPads, auto-steer and in-cab controllers. Communicate daily with Field Operation Supervisor on scheduling and logistics. Maintain equipment including daily preventative and repair maintenance. Communicate and coordinate with Equipment Maintenance Technician for large repairs. Utilize technology hardware for efficient task completion and accurate data collection. Maintain the appearance of the farm and landowner properties, as assigned. Conduct and document pre and post equipment use inspections and complete associated record keeping. Assist with all record keeping and report filing. Maintain sufficient shop inventory and communicate inventory needs with supervisor. Provide input into improvements for greater efficiency in planting, spraying and harvesting. Responsible for hauling grain, seed, fertilizer, and other supplies as well as any daily delivery needs. Drivers are expected to operate according to DOT guidelines, take all safety precautions and conduct themselves in a professional manner. Perform pre-trip vehicle inspection and all related documentation and logs. Perform needed minor repairs. Report major repairs to Equipment Maintenance Technician. Transport fertilizer, seed, grain, and other supplies from on-farm site to fields and other designated locations. Obey all speed limits and traffic laws. Ensure load truck is properly and securely loaded. Perform post-trip vehicle inspections and related documentation and logs. Conduct oneself in a positive and professional manner at all times. Turn in scale tickets and documentation at end of work day. Maintain clean vehicle (interior and exterior). Complete and submit all required and requested paperwork. Follow all trucking SOP’s and the Crises Management Plan. Maintain all required certifications and licenses. Responsible for all aspects of care for the farm machinery and equipment, which includes both scheduled and preventative maintenance. This position will maintain appropriate maintenance logs for all equipment. Conduct all preventative maintenance and daily inspections. Implement and follow appropriate SOP’s. Ensure all equipment is ready for daily use including but not limited to fueling of equipment. Ensure parts inventory is maintained/recorded. Repair of all equipment, as needed. Clean all equipment at the end of each season. Maintain all necessary report logs. Report all major equipment repairs and needs to supervisor. Maintain clean and organized the shop. Follow all safety guidelines. Special projects as assigned by supervisor. We offer performance-based incentives each season and for the contract period. Return employees are eligible for an additional minimum 2% pay raise each year they return for a season. This compounds each year (example - if employee returns for a 4th year, they will get 8% pay increase). Pay scale may also be increased based on experience and skills over the AEWR wage rate.

Special Requirements:
Must have a regular driver's license. Requires 3 months experience. Job requires extensive sitting, walking, pushing and pulling. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Employer will conduct post-hire random drug testing at employer's expense to enforce a drug-free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination.
