Job Duties:

This application encompasses: general farm labor on a fruit ranch, including spraying and irrigation. This job requires a minimum of three (3) months orchard experience with apples, pears, nectarines, apricots, peaches, cherries, and plums The lifting requirement for this position is 60 pounds. All duties assigned under this order will be those duties of Agricultural Equipment Operator and Farm Worker and Laborer Crop, Nursery and Greenhouse, under the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment Statistics Standard Occupational Classification Codes 45-2091 and 45-2092. General Farm Work will include the following duties: Workers may also: 1. Clear debris and garbage from fields and orchards, structures, equipment, and work areas. 2. Remove old string and wire from trellis and orchard blocks, and other hand tasks. 3. Load and mix chemicals in addition to operating tractors pulling air blast sprayers (according to appropriate restrictive use laws, when/if applicable). 4. Maintain, drive, attach, and operate farm implements, tractors, equipment to cultivate, fertilize, and harvest crops 5. Make mechanical adjustments and repairs on farm machinery 6. Remove undesirable and excess growth from crops or farm grounds 7. Remove rocks from fields, edges fields, etc. 8. Build, maintain, repair, farm structures. 9. Replace, repair fencing. 10. Operate motor bike, all-terrain vehicle (ATV’s), John Deere Gators, while performing job duties
