Job Duties:
Crops/Commodities: Sweet corn and green beans. Clean driving record required. Must have a driver's license. Workers with appropriate licenses and a valid doctor's certificate will be asked to drive other workers in company bus. Must have and maintain a valid U.S. commercial driver's license (CDL) or Licencia Federal de Conductor with air brake and double/triple endorsements to permit driving of buses. Must have clean driving record. Must comply with all applicable requirements of the USDOT regulations. Must have no disqualifying factors under applicable law or employer's motor vehicle insurance policy. Disqualifying factors include but are not limited to: conviction for driving under the influence, driving while impaired or the occurrence of a serious at-fault accident. A uniformly conducted motor vehicle records check will assess whether applicant has a clean driving record and Is legally entitled to operate commercial motor vehicles in the United States. Workers with a clean driving record (no major moving violations such as but not limited to Driving While Intoxicated or Reckless Driving) and able to obtain an insurable CDL will be required to drive the company bus. As a driver your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, following direction given by the supervisors and the transportation coordinator. Provide transportation for workers to and from work. Transport workers to purchase food and to laundry facility to wash clothing The driver will take passengers to specified destinations. The driver will be responsible for basic maintenance, including check the vehicle's oil, tires, lights, in addition to keeping the bus clean, as part of the pre-trip inspection. The bus driver is required to obey all traffic laws and company policies. The bus driver is required to maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all time. Ensure the safety of all passengers. Perform pre trip and post trip inspection of the bus before and after each shift. Report any hazards found during pre trip and post trip inspection. When not operating the bus the bus drivers will be required to assist in the up keep of the buses and transportation equipment. Workers with a clean driving record (no major moving violations such as but not limited to Driving While Intoxicated or Reckless Driving) and able to obtain an insurable CDL with passenger endorsement, as applicable, will be required to drive company buses. Supervisor(s) will provide instructions and directions to workers. Workers must be able to comprehend and follow instructions and communicate effectively to supervisors. Unusual, complex or non-routine activities will be supervised. Workers expected to perform basic duties in a proficient manner without close supervision. Workers must operate all equipment properly and in a manner that protects operator, others, the employer's products and property. Failure to comply with safety requirements and operating instructions may result in disciplinary action up to and including immediate termination. Employer-paid pre-employment, as well as post-employment random, upon suspicion and post-accident drug testing required. Drug testing conducted uniformly for all employees, both foreign and domestic. Tests are conducted in accordance with USDOT standards after the initial employment offer has been extended and accepted. Drug test not required for prospective applicants prior to hiring decision. Any worker who fails a mandatory drug test and is unable to obtain the required licensing as a result will be terminated. Employer may request, but not require, workers to work more than the stated daily hours and/or on a worker's Sabbath or federal holidays. Worker must report to work at designated time and place each day. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions, and other factors. Employer will notify workers of any change to start time.

Special Requirements:
This job requires a minimum of 12 months of experience operating and driving buses, preferably for a farming operation. Will handle mechanized tasks including driving/servicing buses. Applicants must be able to furnish verbal or written statement establishing relevant prior work experience. Saturday work required. Must be able to lift/carry 60 lbs. Employer-paid pre-employment and post-hire drug testing required. Clean driving record required. Must have a driver's license. Must have and maintain a valid CDL with air brake and double/triple endorsements/passenger endorsement to permit driving of buses.
