Job Duties:
This job encompasses work done on row crops, hops, and fruit and vegetable crops. This position requires 3 months general farm labor and agricultural equipment operators. The lifting requirement for this position is 60 pounds. Workers with a valid driver's license and that are insurable may drive vehicles to transport crop, equipment, supplies, and workers. Irrigation: Drip Irrigation: Workers will roll out and/or roll up drip hose to hop plants in rows or take from field for end of season storage. They will inspect, monitor, and repair drip system daily. Workers’ job duties may require split shifts (e.g. 5:00 am to 10:00am and 5:00pm to 8:00pm), as well as night shifts due to crop demands. Work hours may vary were there are periods when extra hours are offered and periods of reduced hours are available due to weather, crop conditions, and time of year. Other Irrigation Duties: • Repairing and maintaining pivot drop hoses, laying out and picking up 3" hand lines, replacing nozzles and sprinklers on hand lines and pivot drop hoses, laying out and collecting siphon tubes. • Repair drip hose, add or eliminate emitters as instructed, add clips as needed to prevent sagging of drip hose, periodic flushing of drip hose as instructed.
