Job Duties:
Employees will load and unload agricultural inputs such as chemicals, fertilizer, and supplies. They will keep an inventory of the warehouse location and will keep the warehouse buildings, floors, and outdoor yards in an orderly manner. Routine maintenance will need to be done on all equipment used, structures, and grounds, and snow removal, if needed. Must be self-motivated and a team player. Employees must have a valid driver's license or be capable of obtaining one in 30 days. Cell phone usage is limited to operational business-related calls only. NO TEXTING. No smoking in vehicles, equipment, or housing. Drug testing will be done at the cost of the employer pre- and post, and randomly throughout the work contract at the cost of the Employer. Failure of the testing results of dismissal from the job position. Drinking alcoholic beverages during working hours is totally prohibited and grounds for dismissal from the job position. No Educational level required, and must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly. Required is 3 months self-propelled hand sprayer, Tractors /tenders, augers, forklift lift, and skid steer operating experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Receive grain and accurately load it into the correct bins • Prepare the grain to ship to named destinations as directed by the operations leader • Operate the scale to weigh inbound and outbound trucks and trailers • Operate conveyors and other heavy equipment to load trucks or railcars • Operate the loader to run and clean out the bottom of the bins • Inspect and maintain a clean, safe, and productive working environment • Maintain equipment and repair as needed, such as grease bearings, repair holes, and replace belts on the motor • Read and test sensors and bearings on the Hazard Monitoring system to ensure the system is running efficiently. Must be able to read, write, and understand English for the daily log book and safety reasons. • Log and report any malfunctions and issues to the operations leader • Participate in the safety program by following all safety policies and wearing proper PPE • Adhere to the company policies and procedures set forth by the company • Work additional hours as assigned and/or during peak seasons PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job. The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. • Must have the ability to climb stairs and ladders • Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs • Ability to use a shovel and broom • Ability to communicate with others • Ability to stand for extended periods • Ability to stand, grasp, walk, reach, and use repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement • Ability to drive, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl • Must be able to visually see 20 feet or more, at 20 inches or less, have three-dimensional vision, precise hand-eye coordination, and the ability to identify and distinguish colors • Requires concentrated attention • Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions • *This is a safety-sensitive position • Other duties as assigned Drug testing will be done pre-hire and randomly throughout the work contract at the expense of the employer. Use of drugs is not only illegal but also a safety hazard, and failure to pass a drug test will result in immediate termination of the job position.
