Job Duties:

Crops: Soybeans, Wheat, Barley, Corn • Assist with planting, fertilizing, and harvesting of grain crops (e.g., corn, wheat, soybeans, barley) • Operate and maintain farm equipment, such as trucks, tractors, combines, grain carts, sprayers, and other related equipment • Operate, monitor, and maintain grain storage facilities (bins, dryers, etc.) • Load and unload grain trucks and trailers using augers, forklifts, loader, backhoe, conveyors, or manually when needed • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment • Clean and maintain grain-handling areas and equipment • Follow safety protocols for machinery and grain handling • Support general farm upkeep, including field prep and yard maintenance • Load and unload supply trucks with any of the above-mentioned equipment • Shovel grain tanks as needed • Soil sample • Follow safety standards • Carry out basic maintenance on tools and equipment (e.g., greasing, tire checks) • Operate, check, and maintain irrigation pivots • Mix specified agriculture material and dump solutions, powders, and seeds into seed tender, planter, or spray machinery safely and properly • Drive farm vehicles to haul crops, supplies, tools, fuel/DEF, or farm workers • Manipulate controls to set, activate, record, and adjust farm machinery used in agricultural production (some equipment is equipped with GPS technology) • Perform other general labor duties as needed • Maintain a clean working area(s), which can include pressure washing at times Workers who possess a valid driver’s license and meet all applicable legal requirements, including holding a doctor’s certificate as required by 29 CFR § 500.105, may be asked to drive vehicles for transporting workers, goods, or commodities on company business. This task is voluntary, compensable, and not a mandatory job duty. Workers without a valid driver’s license or doctor’s certificate will still be fully eligible for employment and are not disqualified from any other job responsibilities outlined in this application. The employer can and will make alternative arrangements for the transportation of workers should the need arise.

Special Requirements:

Workers must have at least 3 months of experience in verifiable farm work. Specific requirements include lifting up to 100 pounds. Employer reserves the right to conduct employer-paid post-hire random drug testing in accordance with state law. Any employee who declines to take or fails a drug test will be immediately terminated.
