Job Duties:
Workers will plant, cultivate, weed, irrigate, harvest, wash, sort and pack a diverse variety of crops, while working outside in all types of weather. Must be able to use hand tools such as: shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears and knives. Duties may include tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, mulching, applying and removing row covers, thinning, or pruning crops; cleaning, packing, and loading harvested products. May construct trellises, repair fences and farm buildings, participate in irrigation activities and other farm related activities as needed. The employer, at no cost, will provide any tools or equipment necessary for workers to perform required tasks. Harvest vegetables according to size, shape and degree of maturity. Place vegetables into field containers. All work must be performed carefully according to instructions to avoid damage or harm to crops. Must be able to work outdoors in dusty and dirty conditions, in extremes of heat and cold and in inclement weather. Must be able to crouch, bend, and sit on the ground, and lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to listen to, understand and follow simple instructions of field leaders and supervisor. This job requires three months (or 480 hours) of verifiable prior experience. The employer will comply with re-entry restrictions applicable to pesticides and other chemicals used in the fields. Tasks will be related to a diverse variety of fruit and vegetable crops. The possession or use of illegal drugs or alcohol (exception is made for moderate alcohol consumption incompany housing during non-working hours) on company property is prohibited and will be cause for termination. Because the timing of planting and subsequent maturity rate of the diversified agricultural crops and their sensitivity to unpredictable weather conditions, flexibility to employ workers for our farming operation is a necessity. Based on this need for flexibility, workers start dates will be staggered to adapt to our seasonal labor needs. Two workers will be hired at the beginning of the job order (3/16/2026); two additional wokers in May; and two workers in June. The staggered hiring of workers represents the seasonal labor demands on our farm.

Special Requirements:
During busy planting/harvest season workers may be requested to start earlier and work more than the scheduled 40 hrs per week, including holidays. When weather is hot, start and end times may be shifted to earlier or later in the day, depending on crop and weather conditions. Pay rate, raises and/or bonuses, greater than the wage rate listed, may be offered to any seasonal worker employed pursuant to this job order, at the company's sole discretion, based on individual factors including work performance, skill, and tenure. Employer retains the right to discharge an obviously unqualified worker, malingerer or recalcitrant worker who is physically able but does not demonstrate the willingness to perform the work necessary for the employer to grow a premium quality product, violates employers work rules (provided to workers prior to commencement of work) or for any other lawful reason. All terms and conditions of the job order will apply equally to both U.S. and H-2A workers.
