Job Duties:
Workers will perform a range of seasonal agricultural tasks on a 1,000-acre small grain farm cultivating wheat and barley. Duties include preparing seedbeds using tractors and tillage equipment; assisting with seeding operations by operating or supporting the use of seed drills and loaders; and monitoring crop development, identifying issues such as pests or weeds, and reporting to supervisors. Workers will support harvesting activities using combines and grain handling systems and be responsible for loading, transporting, and storing harvested crops. Additional tasks include basic maintenance and adjustments on farm machinery, cleaning work areas, and managing tools. Workers must have prior agricultural experience, be familiar with farm tools and machinery, and be able to perform duties with minimal supervision. The work requires physical stamina for repetitive, outdoor labor in varying weather, including lifting, bending, and standing for long hours. Reliability, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and operational guidelines are essential. Workers should be adaptable to changes in schedules based on crop and weather conditions and capable of executing instructions efficiently to maintain farm productivity during peak periods. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.

Special Requirements:
Minimum of 3 months experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level II Experienced LevelPursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level II Experienced Level, indicating that the job requires prior related experience, independent judgment in performing recurring tasks, and the ability to work with limited supervision. The employer reserves the right to withhold the applicable housing deduction as permitted under program regulations, when approved and disclosed in the job order.
