Job Duties:
Duties may include: Planting and cultivating hay, grass and straw. Mowing, raking, bailing, stacking, hauling and crop maintenance. Remove invasive plant species. Evaluate condition of hay crop and adjust harvesting activity based on evaluation. Loading/unloading trucks. Maintain, drive and operate farm equipment. Worker will assist with livestock duties such as feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies. Shift animals between grazing areas to ensure that they have sufficient access to food. Mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions to ensure proper weight gain. Clean stalls, pens, and equipment, using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovels, water hoses, or pumps. Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain & other related Farm Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org). Employer may offer hours beyond the guaranteed shift depending on crop production, weather, and livestock needs. Possible weekend/holiday work as needed. Daily start and stop times may vary based on weather, commute times, and crop production. Workers will perform duties at the employer operated work locations which may be within a one (1) to twenty (20) mile radius of the report to work address. Employees will be compensated for driving time.

Must be 18 due to equipment use. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Variable weather conditions may apply. Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole discretion of the employer.
