- The worker will operate a variety of agricultural equipment to support the seasonal planting, cultivation, maintenance, and harvesting of grain and row crops, including wheat, corn, and soybeans. Duties include preparing fields for planting through tillage, seeding, and fertilization using tractors, planters, cultivators, and sprayers. During the growing season, the worker will assist with crop monitoring and maintenance activities such as irrigation setup, weed and pest control, and general upkeep of farm equipment and infrastructure. In the harvest phase, responsibilities include operating combines, grain carts, and transport trucks to efficiently collect and move crops from the field to storage or market. The worker will also assist with loading and unloading equipment and materials, perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance to ensure machinery is safe and operational, and follow all safety guidelines. Work may include manual labor such as lifting, moving tools, and repairing fences or buildings as needed. The job is physically demanding and time-sensitive, requiring long hours during peak periods and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Worker must be reliable, able to follow instructions, and work well independently or as part of a team to meet critical seasonal timelines. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
