- Job Duties:
- Pruning blueberry bushes, mulch, various farming, picking rocks, hand weeding, irrigation (harvesting apples, blueberries, broccoli, cauliflower, berries and vegetables). Rotating schedule for cleaning Field Sanitation Units. May drive company vehicles (pickup-up trucks and vans) on the farm and to and from housing. HOURS AND SCHEDULE VARY: preharvest: Mon - Fri, 6am-2pm, 35 hrs. harvest: additional hours required, Mandatory weekends will be required. Schedule depends on production needs throughout the entire contract. FLSP Commitments: 1)Universal Application of Benefits: The employer commits to providing all benefits, protections, and working conditions described in this job order equally to H-2A workers and U.S. workers in corresponding employment at all worksites covered by this application. This commitment ensures fair treatment for all workers regardless of their visa status. 2)USDA Research Participation: The employer will participate in a USDA-sponsored research study on agricultural labor practices. Workers may be invited to voluntarily participate in surveys or interviews. Participation or non-participation will not affect employment status, wages, or working conditions. 3) Know Your Rights and Resources (KYRR) Training: The employer will provide a mandatory 2-hour KYRR training to all workers at the beginning of their job contract. This training, conducted by a USDA- approved provider in a language understood by workers, will cover worker rights and available resources. Workers will be compensated at the required rate for this training time. 4)Responsible Recruitment: If applicable, the employer will disclose the name of any foreign agents and sub- contractors and provide a copy of the completed Recruitment Partner Letter. If available, the recruiter's registration in the country from which they are recruiting will be supplied. 5)The employer will offer a bonus payment to workers based on years of experience they have obtained by working for the employer or other factors such as work performance, skill, punctuality, licensing, training, prior work experience, etc. This bonus will be in addition to all required wages and will not be used to meet the required wage rate. 6) The employer will be following a Weekly Housing Maintenance Plan to ensure the upkeep and quality of worker housing. This plan includes a detailed process, which will ensure each worker has the ability to communicate with a maintenance line for all upkeep concerns. There will also be an online portal for workers to report any maintenance needs. Upon receipt of a maintenance request, the employer will adhere to a 48 hour response timeline as well as fixing any issue within 7 business days. This will ensure that issues are addressed and resolved promptly, maintaining a high standard of living conditions for all workers. 7)The employer is committed to upskilling all workers. We will provide on the job training and orientation training to each individual to ensure that they are both ready to work in the current role as well as advancing in their given field. We will check in with workers to ensure that they are getting the training they need throughout the growing season.
To be eligible for a bonus, employee must complete the contract year in full from the date of start to the end of the contract or last day of the farming year, whichever comes first and remain an employee throughout the contract year. If the employee leaves, abandons, or is terminated from employment, the employee is no longer eligible for the bonus payment at the end of the year. Bonus payments will be at a minimum of $500 US dollars per employee, per contract season. Bonus payments will be disbursed on the last payment cycle by Circle B Farms LLC. By signing this employment contract, the worker understands the written policy and understand that all requirements must be met to receive your bonus payment.
