Job Duties:
Multiple contract dates available. Alternative start date(s) include: 09/07/2026 (5 workers). The exact start date and/or number of workers may vary based on weather, crop conditions or other factors. Crops/Commodities: Crops: Potatoes. Primary duties (performed the majority of workdays): Harvest and sort potatoes. Sort potatoes on conveyor belt, removing the damaged potatoes and foreign materials by hand. Maintain clean working environment, shoveling dirt and debris, breaking down pallets, repairing pallets and setting up or breaking down any equipment in the work space. Bending, stooping and kneeling required. Lift, carry, and load/unload products or supplies. Clean potato harvester of debris and assist the harvester operator with any breakdown, if necessary. Workers will be asked to assist with other farm duties such as shoveling, sweeping, scrapping debris, washing equipment, loading trucks, unloading trucks, raking, cleaning gutters, wrapping shrubbery, mowing, picking up rocks and barn cleaning. Workers will be asked to use tools such as staple guns, power cleaners, nails guns, hammers, chop saws, hand jacks and skill saws. Workers will be tasked with cutting seed, picking stones from fields and maintenance and repairs on equipment. Work is done in the field for long periods of time. Workers may assist in handling product weighing up to 60 pounds and lifting to a height of 5 feet. Workers must work on their feet in bent positions for long periods of time. Work requires repetitive movements and extensive walking. Work required in fields when plants are wet with dew and rain, and may be required during light rain, snow, moderate winds, direct sun, high humidity and extreme temperatures. Temperatures in fields during working hours can range from 30 to over 100 degrees F. Workers may be required to work during occasional showers not severe enough to stop field operations. Allergies to ragweed, goldenrod, honey bees, insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, or related chemicals may affect a worker's ability to perform the job. Workers should be able to do the work required with or without reasonable accommodations. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered to any seasonal worker employed pursuant to this job order, at the company's sole discretion, based on individual factors including work performance, skill, and tenure. Job opportunity is Skill Level I. All primary duties are entry-level and require close supervision and/or a short demonstration of the task by a more experienced worker. Employer may request, but not require, workers to work more than the stated daily hours and/or on a worker's Sabbath or federal holidays. Worker must report to work at designated time and place each day. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions, and other factors. Employer will notify workers of any change to start time. Workers will have an unpaid lunch break. TERMINATION. Prior to any termination for cause, employer evaluates workers' performance of required tasks and compliance with Work Rules and other employer policies. Employer may terminate a worker for cause if the worker's performance consistently and/or substantially fails to satisfy the employer's reasonable expectations (in accordance with the criteria set forth herein), or otherwise engages in serious or egregious misconduct that endangers health, safety, or property. In assessing whether workers' performance meets reasonable expectations, employer evaluates, among other reasonable criteria, whether the worker: (1) has adequately complied with the Work Rules and any other policies or procedures; (2) has complied with all health and safety guidelines, including the use of tools or equipment in accordance with best practices to protect the employer's property, crops, and in a manner that avoids injury or damage; (3) has treated company property (tools, equipment, crops, fixtures, etc.
