Job Duties:
This application encompasses general farm work and labor including picking fruit and harvest on a farm and fruit ranch. This is a skill level I position and the job requires at least one month of general farm labor experience. Workers will be given training and instruction from foremen or crew bosses. Workers are expected to follow instructions and guidance to acquire skills throughout the growing and harvest season. Work will be closely monitored and assessed especially during fruit harvest/picking tasks for quality, accuracy and production. The lifting requirement for this position is 60 pounds. The primary duties assigned under this order will be those duties of Farm Worker and Laborer Crop, Nursery and Greenhouse and under the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment Statistics Standard Occupational Classification Code 45-2092 but workers may also perform duties under Agricultural Equipment Operators 45-2091.

The employer agrees that it will offer, advertise in its recruitment, and pay at least the Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR), the prevailing hourly wage rate, the prevailing piece rate, the agreed-upon collective bargaining rate, or the Federal or State minimum wage rate, in effect at the time work is performed, whichever is highest. The employer may pay a higher hourly rate based on tenured performance, the Employer may, at its discretion, pay higher hourly rates for workers performing specialized duties or pay discretionary bonuses. These higher rates will be based on individual factors including demonstrated skill/knowledge after hire, demonstrated experience after hire, certifications, and performance, and will be offered to all qualified H-2A and corresponding U.S. workers on the same terms. Such payments do not change the primary job classification or required experience level.
