Job Duties:
JOB DUTIES: All driver job duties are compensable and are common to the commercial truck driving industry. Drivers are to only accept dispatch orders that come directly from the employer and must contact the employer immediately after both the loading and unloading of each order. Drivers are to notify the employer prior to fueling their tractor-trailer at a retail fuel station. Drivers will have no passengers other than as directed by the employer. Compensable job duties include driving a tractor-trailer semi-truck from product pickup locations directly to delivery locations, including time engaged-to-wait, timely and safely on public and interstate highways while adhering to all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to commercial motor vehicles; maneuver tractor-trailer into loading and unloading positions; hook and unhook trailer(s) to reposition loaded and unloaded trailers; verify the security, safety and proper care of the tractor-trailer and of the loaded product to include any written or verbal product care instructions that may be required; dispense fuel into the tractor-trailer at both the worksite and retail fuel stations; complete and document pre- and post-trip safety inspections of the tractor-trailer as required by law (49 CFR §396.11); perform minor maintenance and safety duties for the tractor-trailer (example, add fluids, change windshield wipers, etc.) as necessary, as is common to the industry; timely and accurately document and submit to employer all work related activity via paper and electronic methods; real-time data entry into employer provided timekeeping app; real-time data entry into employer provided Electronic Logging Device (ELD) as required by law (Section 32301(B) of the Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Enhancement Act, enacted as part of the MAP-21 Act) as well as maintain a commercial driver daily paper logbook, real-time data entry and document uploads into employer provided Transportation Management Software (TMS) to document order status and other order related issues, utilize the employer provided Global Positioning System (GPS) to successfully navigate to locations, real-time data entry and document (i.e., receipt) uploads into employer provided digital payments system (RELAY) and other real-time data exchange apps that the employer may choose to utilize; all other various job duties common to the industry as directed by the employer.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the driver to possess and maintain a valid commercial drivers license, Class A, or equivalent, as well as possess and maintain all requirements necessary to operate as a commercial truck driver in the United States. This position requires no minimum education level and no experience. No on the job training is required or provided. The employer maintains strict rules regarding drug and alcohol consumption. Drivers are subject to employer paid post-hire, post-accident, suspicion of use and random drug and alcohol testing. Daily travel requirements for this position includes spending many on-duty and off-duty hours on the road in a semi-truck. Sleeper-cab semi-trucks include a bed, refrigerator and other amenities.
