Job Duties:

Seasonal Retail Sales of Pumpkins and Christmas Trees. The workers would work as a team to complete tasks which may include duties of: Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs. Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers. Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires. Compute sales prices, total purchases, and receive and process cash or credit payment. Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise. Prepare sales slips or sales contracts. Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices. Maintain records related to sales. Demonstrate use or operation of merchandise. Place special orders or call other stores to find desired items. Prepare merchandise for purchase or rental. Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and know how to prevent or handle these situations. Inventory stock and requisition new stock. Ticket, arrange, and display merchandise to promote sales. Exchange merchandise for customers and accept returns. Clean shelves, counters, and tables. Help customers try on or fit merchandise. Sell or arrange for delivery, insurance, financing, or service contracts for merchandise. Estimate and quote trade-in allowances. Open and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits. Estimate quantity and cost of merchandise required. Bag or package purchases.

The job requires the applicant to be qualified, ready, willing, able, & available to perform during the entire employment at the designated worksite; to enter into & comply with employment contract; to follow workplace rules; & to meet job performance standards. If state or local law requires overtime it will be calculated and paid as per applicable state or local regulations. Our lots are generally open 7 days a week, from 7 am until 5 pm. The work schedule varies widely due to weather conditions (we would shut down on rainy days, etc.) and we are typically busiest on weekends. Work times posted for recruitment and filings with SWA and DOL are only to provide potential applicants with a general idea of afternoon and evening schedules: Hours on week days vary and may be reduced, hours on weekends vary and may be increased, and all of the above named conditions can affect the schedule actually worked in any week. The employer is not representing to either the applicants or the agencies that these hours are fixed and predictable. This variability is not expected to result in more than 40 hours of work per week. Employer will pay the hourly prevailing wage $15.24 as per 9141 Prevailing Wage Determination [P-400- 20125-539882] attached The employer will pay the wage as detailed 9142B, attachments and addendums, so long as the regulations requiring such wage are in effect. This wage is offered solely on the basis of the present regulatory requirements and is not a contract between the employer and a worker. Additionally, merit wage increases and/or bonuses may be awarded at employer discretion US and Seasonal Workers who require transportation from one sales location to another will be provided transportation at no cost.
