Job Duties:
Bellpersons: Greet guests and assist them with arrival and departure to the Inn, parking cars for guests as needed, driving hotel shuttle to other Resort outlets, and providing information. Must be able to lift, carry and move up to 50-100 lbs. of luggage with aid of a luggage cart. Must have excellent communications skills. Min. age is 21 and must possess a valid U.S. drivers license or eligibility to drive in the U.S. Must be able to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. All workers (including H-2B and U.S.) must pass standard company pre-hire criminal background check, which is paid for by the employer. No experience necessary; will train. Employer will guarantee minimum H-2B wage rate of $13.36 per hour worked. The H-2B wage will consist of Vermont min. wage, tips and additional employer pay as needed. Generally: min. of 35 hours per week, on average 5-8 hours per workday and 5 workdays per week. Weekends and holidays required. Various shifts available but normally 7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm daily. Conditions of employment for H2B and U.S. workers: 1. Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence will be at least [FY20 rate $12.68] per day during travel to a maximum of [FY20 rate $55.00] per day with receipts. 2. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. 3. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. 4. Employer will use a single work week for computing wages starting each Sunday at 1200 am and ending Saturday at 1159 pm and the employee will be paid biweekly. 5. H-2B workers will be reimbursed during the first workweek for subsistence, visa, visa processing and related costs, except passport costs, by company check. 6. Optional, limited dormitory shared rooms available, first come first served while available, for a weekly fee ranging $50-150 (not deducted from payroll). 7. Duty meals available. 8. Employer will reimburse for additional motor vehicle record checks as well as the cost of taking Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles, eye, written, and road exams that must be taken and passed prior to commencing work. 9. Employer will make deductions from workers paycheck required by law. 10. Employees with more experience, or returning employees, may be offered a higher wage rate.
