- Ulen Locker (Ulen, MN, email: ribeye@arvig.net) seeks 3 Meat Trimmers (Wild Game Seasonal Support) Oct. 1, 2021 - June 1, 2022, for temporary, full-time, seasonal employment.
Will use hands or hand tools to perform routine cutting and trimming of meat and poultry for product during the MN DNR wild game seasons. No minimum education, nor training nor experience required. Must be at least 18-years old. Must be able to follow written and verbal instruction from supervisor. Must be able to perform basic physical maneuvers, some of which are repetitive, including standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 30-pounds consistently and up to 75-pounds occasionally. No transportation required.
General work schedule includes Mon-Fri, 8am - 5pm. Job offer includes 40 hours work/week. Seasons include: Archery, Sept. 19 - Dec. 31; Firearm, Nov. 7-29; Muzzleloader, Nov. 28 - Dec. 13; Metro deer management, Nov. 7-29; N. Central CWD management, Nov. 7 -22; S. Metro and SE CWD management, Nov. 7-15, Nov. 21 -29; Youth, Oct. 15-18; Early antlerless, Oct. 15-18; and Disease management SE and S. Metro, Dec. 26-27, Jan. 2-3.
Workers will be paid no less than $14.61 per hour. Overtime hours may vary and and if applicable, will be paid at no less than $21.92 per hour. Employer will use a single work week as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid each Tuesday by check. Employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law. Offered housing of shared accommodations will be deducted at a max $600/month.
This job Order is being filed in conjunction with filing Form ETA 9142, Application for Temporary Employment Certification, for H-2B workers, with the U.S. Dept. of Labor. Workers will be reimbursed in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees).
Employer will provide or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or reimburse worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $13.17 per day during travel to a maximum of $55 per day with receipts.
