As a Winter Seasonal Cook/ dishwasher, you are the support staff for the guest experience here at our ski lodge. After taking in the gorgeous view from our deck, you breathe in one more gulp of fresh, clean air and head in to begin your shift. You are on a team with coworkers who work at a swift pace. Your friendly and upbeat personal interactions with peers drives a collaborative environment! With your thorough understanding of how to prep food, make pizzas along with cleaning & sanitation procedures you are able to provide customers & teammates alike with quality food with a beautiful presentation. With attention to detail, you fill par levels for pizza toppings, you proof pizza dough, change kegs of beer, you maintain the dishwasher chemical levels accurately, use clean gloves to grab clean dishes and airdry everything to meet health-code compliance. You communicate effectively with the Café/Saloon Kitchen staff.
You love that you get to both interact with peers and keep busy with a variety of tasks throughout your shift. Time flies by! You are not just a pizza cook, but a food prep worker, fry cook and dishwasher as well. As an efficient, get-it-done person, you clean your works station as you go. When you have a moment, you will refill par levels for food, you will clean and refill rinse buckets, empty and refill sanitizer buckets, put dishes and cups away clean pizza impinger, empty trash cans, refill hand-soap and towels at hand-washing sinks. These tasks may be done alone or with another cook and sometimes you will even be joined on these tasks by some of the members of the upper management. As a team player, if you see something that needs to be done, you jump right in to help. But, of course, you never forget your guests! You enjoy your job

Prepares food for various stations. Assists with maintaining cleanliness, order, and sanitation in kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, cleaning counters, ovens, walls, equipment, etc. Prepares food of consistent quality following recipes, production and portion standards. Properly dates all food, rotates stock and keeps food a proper temperature to meet all health regulations. Assist with setting up tray lines, distributing food to various areas, and dissembling serving lines. Maintain compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety and sanitation standards. Ensure workstations have proper level of par stocks and supplies according to daily menu. Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality. Washes dishes.
