Job Duties:
All applicants must be able, willing, qualified perform work described this JO/Ad, must be available entire period specified. Under supervision, perform manual labor, carrying up to 50lbs.Load/unload materials, demolition existing roof systems on buildings. Remove debris. Install new roofing system components. Tools provided at no cost to worker: shovels, picks, wheelbarrows, nail-guns, saws, screw-guns, grinders, hardhat, safety glasses, masks. Application of asphalt adhesives (hot/cold/foam); work heights w/ safety equip. Clean up worksite; outdoors variable temps, high noise areas. 6-months Roofing industry related experience for safety/insurance. Transport/subsistence reimbursed (by first paycheck) cost from place which worker has come to work for employer, whether U.S. or abroad, to place of employment. Once worker completes 50% of employment period, transport costs (most efficient carrier cost), & subsistence costs reimbursed to worker. Upon completion work contract or where worker dismissed early, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs return transport/ subsistence home or place worker originally departed to work, except where worker will not return due to subsequent employment w/ another employer. Amount of transport payment or reimbursement equal most econl/reasonable common carrier for distances involved. Daily subsistence provided at rate of $14 per day during travel to max of $59 per day w/ receipts. If legally enforceable, worker offered employment total number work hrs equal to at least 3/4 (26.25/hrs.per wk) of workdays each 12-wk period. Single workweek as std to compute wages due. Wage pd every 2-wks. All deductions reqd. by law done by employer. Will reimburse H-2B worker first workweek paycheck for visa, visa processing, border crossing, & other related fees, to extent reqd. by law, including fees mandated by U.S. govt. incurred by H-2B worker, not including passport or other fees not primarily for benefit of employer. Terms, conditions in advertisement are those reqd by H-2B regs which state full extent of H-2B workers’ rights, remedies. Employer provides those benefits as specified in regs @ time work is performed.
