Job Duties:
The Nanny will provide comprehensive care and support for one newborn child. Record Keeping: The Nanny is required to maintain an accurate record of all hours worked each week and submit these timesheets to the Employer promptly. Housing: During the term of employment, the Nanny will reside at an address of her choosing. Vacation Days: The Nanny is entitled to 2 weeks of paid vacation annually. Additionally, she will have the opportunity for flexible, sick, family, and personal time, subject to the Parents' approval. Unused vacation days will be forfeited at the end of the Term. The Nanny should notify the Parents at least three weeks in advance of taking vacation days (excluding instances of illness). General duties: The Nanny's primary responsibility is to ensure the welfare, safety, and development of the Child. This includes, but is not limited to: Infant Care: The Nanny will oversee all aspects of the newborn's daily routine, including feeding, diaper changes, nap time, and bathing. Safety Monitoring: At no point shall the Child be allowed to engage in any activity deemed dangerous by the Parents or the Nanny. The Nanny must ensure gentle, respectful care at all times. Transportation: Any transportation of the Child requires the Parents’ prior consent and instruction. The Child will not be transported to another's home without prior consent from the Parents. All transportation must follow safety protocols, such as appropriate car seat usage. Meal Preparation: The Nanny will be in charge of feeding the Child, which includes the preparation of formula and the introduction of solids when appropriate. Sleep Schedule: The Nanny will uphold the nap schedule set by the Parents, ensuring the newborn's adequate rest and development. Child Release: The Nanny is not permitted to hand over the Child to any third party without the Parents’ direct authorization. Outdoor Time: Weather permitting, the Nanny will spend at least ninety (90) minutes each day outside with the Child in the backyard or at parent-approved parks, ensuring the child is adequately protected against weather conditions. Parental Communication: The Nanny will provide the Parents with a daily update regarding the Child's activities, progress, and well-being. Domestic Duties: The Nanny will also be responsible for light domestic duties related to the Child: Cleaning: The Nanny will clean all items used by the Child and herself daily, such as bottles, cups, dishes, etc. This includes vacuuming or sweeping under the kitchen tables and wiping down tables and countertops after meals. Toy Management: The Nanny will pick up and rotate toys and clothes daily in the Child’s play areas, including the Child’s room, living room, and outdoor play area. Laundry: The Nanny will wash, fold, and put away the Child’s laundry twice per week. Additional Duties: The Nanny will manage other duties related to the child's welfare and household harmony as requested by the Parents. For instance, packing the child's belongings for trips, organizing the child's room, and changing the child's seasonal/outgrown clothing.

Special Requirements:
Skills: Proficiency in infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and safety precautions. Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate developmental activities. Effective communication skills to provide regular updates to parents. Basic first aid skills and knowledge of emergency procedures. Licenses/Certifications: Certification in Infant and Child CPR and First Aid (or willing to obtain before employment start date). Optional: Childcare or early childhood development certification or diploma. Field(s) of Training: Training or experience in early childhood development or a related field. Training or experience in child nutrition and feeding practices for infants and toddlers. Additional Requirements: Must pass a thorough background check. Provide professional references, preferably from previous childcare roles. Consent to a drug-free workplace policy, including the potential for random drug screenings.
