- Current USSS Level 200 Certification or equivalent is required. Experience coaching FIS level athletes. Applicant must complete pre-employment background check and be able to provide at least two references for prior work experience. Be able to communicate in English. Can lift up to fifty pounds. The anticipated start date of the job is October 1, 2024, and end date is April 30, 2025. The geographic areas of intended employment are all located in Blaine County, Idaho. Ski coaches work at the business location of 215 Picabo Street, Suite 302, Ketchum Idaho for off snow trainings. As ski coaching entrails training on snow, they also perform work at the Sun Valley Ski Resort, Dollar Mountain Resort and Rotarun Ski Area in Hailey, ID. All three ski resorts are located within Blaine County, Idaho. Traveling is only required to go to competitions. Most traveling happens within the United States, and specifically the Western region. Some competitions may happen in Canada, even though it is very unlikely that we will need that this incoming season. We anticipate 10 trips per ski season, and 4 days per each trip. On-the-job training is provided. Schedule: 35-40 hours per week. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday, including holidays. Work hours will vary based on business levels, and work assignments can be in the morning, afternoon or both. Example weekday shift: 10:00am 5:00 pm or 8:00am 1:00pm weekend shift. Shift hours may vary. Workers will be paid bi-weekly on Fridays by check. Workers will be paid no less than $27.13 per hour; workers with more experience may be paid higher wage rates ($27.13-$30.49 per hour). We dont require overtime from our H-2B workers. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. The employer will make all deductions from the workers paycheck required by law. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first workweek. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last workweek. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. The employer will reimburse the worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the worker. The employer will also provide to the worker, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned.
