Job Duties:
Provides excellence in cleaning services to guest and owner units, offices, lobby and common areas throughout the property in compliance with all standards of quality and productivity. Commitment and dedication to our Spirit of Service culture is an expected behavior to be displayed towards our guests and team members at all times. Responds quickly to guest’s requests in a friendly manner. Follow up to ensure guest’s satisfaction. Will be required to work in a fast-paced stressful environment. Communicates effectively with dispatch, Team Members and guests to ensure the satisfaction of our guests and owners. Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress. Follows company’s philosophies, policies and procedures and able to effectively communicate them to appropriate departments. Ensure resort complies with all federal, state and local laws, including OSHA specifically regarding the housekeeping department and required by the State of Hawaii, Department of Labor & Industrial Relations (Title 12, Subtitle 8). Cleans all assigned units, offices and public areas in compliance with all standards of quality and productivity. Reports any maintenance problems, damage or missing items to proper housekeeping personnel. Reports any suspicious activity to the Security Department. Maintains cleanliness of carts and ensures supplies and equipment are in a neat and orderly appearance. Ensures all assets and supplies for the department are secure in storage at all times in a neat and orderly fashion. Assists management in maintaining an accurate inventory of linen and supplies. Follow all daily projects as assigned. Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy. Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts. Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met. Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas. Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines. Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and shampooers. Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary. Dust and polish furniture and equipment. Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers. Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors. Sort, count, and mark clean linens and store them in linen closets. Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses. Hang draperies and dust window blinds. Promptly turns in all lost and found items after being properly tagged and identified. Properly utilizes the key Traka box system and adheres to the “Resort Issued Key Policy”. Employer will offer a minimum 35 hours per week. Rotating schedule Sunday through Saturday, shifts vary: 6am-2pm, 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, 10am-6pm, 11am-7pm, 1pm-9pm, 3pm-11pm. Hours and shifts may vary with occupancy and business demands.

No minimum education or experience required. Employer will provide on-the-job training. Workers subject to post-employment criminal background check, employer paid, applied equally to all workers, U.S. & foreign/H-2B. Applicant must complete an employment application. Must be able to work a minimum 5-day workweek. Physical requirements of the role: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, having clear distance/close/peripheral vision and the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Employer will provide worker at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform job. Uniform provided at no cost to employee. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). If worker completes half the employment period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the employment period or where the worker is dismissed early, the employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a workers voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68 per day with receipts. All transportation costs are to be preapproved. If necessary, employer will reimburse worker within first pay period for approved cost of meals and lodging at the applicable exchange rate, not to exceed reasonable costs. Receipts must be submitted.
