Job Duties:
Performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing of guest rooms, and common resort areas including but not limited to hallways, lobbies, lounges, and bathrooms. While under supervision of the housekeeping supervisor, Room Attendants will deliver luxury resort service. The Room Attendant promotes a positive image of the luxurious Destination Kohler property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and be able to address guest requests and problems. The cleaning and sanitizing of common resort areas, bathrooms, guest rooms, in-room cleaning are to include but not limited to: Dust the room and furniture, ensuring all surfaces have been cleaned; Replenish guestroom and bath supplies according to operational standards, such as end sheets of toilet tissues are neatly pointed or similarly cared for; Clean and sanitize the bathroom. Ensuring all soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from are removed from all surfaces including but not limited to mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain and floor; Remove all dirty terry and replace with the clean per the designated layout; Make bed(s) by removing all dirty linen and replacing with clean according to operational standards; Realign furniture to the floor plan; Clean closets and door tracks on check-out rooms, removing dust and debris. Ensure correct amount and placement of hangers, extra blanket/pillow, laundry bags/slips and luggage rack; Inspect condition of bathrobes, linen, terry, pillows and blankets. Replace soiled/damaged ones as needed; Ensure clothing left around the room is neatly folded or draped and left within immediate guess view; shoes left out in room are paired and neatly placed where guest had left them, out of high traffic areas; Maintain that toiletries and cosmetics are neatly arranged, and personal guest belongings are handled in noteworthy manner; Remove soiled in-room dining service ware, trays, and trolleys from the room and corridor. Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests (e.g. iron and ironing boards). Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests. Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, acknowledge all guests, resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately. Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas. Attend to guest calls, guest requests /guest complaints in the area assigned. Follow the standard operating procedures. Achieve and exceed the guest satisfaction score. Update status of rooms cleaned on assignment sheet. Return and restock cart at end of shift. Adhere to uniform and grooming standards as assigned by venue. Maintain confidentiality and security of all guests and general hotel information. Comply with hotel Lost and Found policy. Anticipated days and hours of work per week and schedule: Employer will offer a minimum of no less than 35 hours per week. Open 7-days a week (holidays included). Shifts: 8:30am to 4pm. Shift schedule start and end times, and days off vary depending on work demand and special events. Overtime: As Needed Only. Special Requirements:
Six (6) months of housekeeping experience in high-volume environment at a high-end resort required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Strong verbal and written communication skills is necessary. Must present a professional demeanor and appearance. Must be able to physically sit or stand for multiple hours as well as to bend, squat, reach, kneel, and frequently lifting up to 50 pounds. Work hours will frequently include weekends and holidays and occasionally include overnight shifts.
