Must pass pre-employment drug test, criminal background check (which will be completed before hiring) and physical requirements screening including lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, gripping/pushing, reaching, squatting, scooping, sitting, standing, walking, and climbing.
Regular and reliable attendance required.
Must be able to walk, stand for periods of hours and squat to assemble units and product; use hands and arms to reach materials, run machines, assemble units, grad and lift; use fingers and hands to grasp glass, materials, tools, cleaning equipment, etc.; perform tasks which require foot and/or hand-eye coordination such as using the foot pedal to advance the conveyor, reading a breakout monitor/furnace load bed monitor, breaking out glass, operating the Punch Master or other various machines; twist at the waist to transfer glass onto conveyors, pass pieces of glass on to co-workers, reach muntin bars and/or spacer, put materials away, assemble units, etc.; reach and lift over shoulder to assemble products, put materials away, pull glass lites out of harp racks, carry bundles of channel; push objects weighing up to 50 pounds; pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds; push and pull glass pieces weighing up to 175 pounds over ball tables (glass pieces can weigh up to 280 pounds but this would be moved over an air table thereby minimizing the force needed to move); lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds (any pieces weighing over 50 pounds would be carried with two associates); hear normal sounds and voices with background noise to communicate with co-workers and supervisors and hear PA announcements and alarms; perform tasks which require steadiness of motion and balance; climb stairs; bend to the floor; bend at the knee to reach materials, clean or assist in maintenance work.
Must be able to concentrate on detail with interruption with minimal errors; attend to and focus on task/function for a sustained period of time; take direction and follow instructions; understand and apply safety rules.
Must be able to read, write, spell and understand English or native language; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and online procedure manuals; fill out documents and record checks online; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; read a tape measure to 16ths of an inch; carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock or vibration.
Must be 18+.
