Job Duties:
Summer camp leadership duties including supervising camp staff, enforcing camp rules, mentoring campers and participating in the development and delivery of camp programming; additional administrative duties involve overseeing camp facilities and grounds, with attention to repairs/upkeep as needed. Please note that this position’s duties are consistent with the duties and work activities of the Recreation Workers occupational classification within O*Net online (SOC 39-9032.00) which includes both camper/staff/programming administration as well as attention to facilities maintenance and upkeep.

Note regarding F.a.9.: Minimum of 12 months of experience in fields such as Summer Camps, Recreation Camps, or Youth Camps as a camp or recreation worker required, to include the following specific experience/proficiencies: 1. Repairing and maintaining facilities and equipment. And 2. Supervising staff and mentoring children. Please note supervision of staff is limited to staff in the SOC code of 39-9032.00 -- Recreation Workers, and per the O*net on 39-9032.00 Recreation Workers, in the Tasks section Recreation Workers commonly, "Supervise and coordinate the work activities of personnel, such as training staff members and assigning work duties" and in the Detailed Work Activities section Recreation Workers commonly, "Supervise service workers." Note regarding F.a.5A-H, F.a.6a.-6b.:A typical work week consists of 35 hours per week or more. (Note: The total number of 56 hours per week indicated above is misleading, due to the entry of 8 hours for each day of the week into the form, which is necessary because, with shifts typically lasting up to 8 hours, and variations in days off, workers may end up working on any day of the week and there is no specific day when a worker is guaranteed not to work. This position is for 35 or more (35+) hours per week as indicated in the job order). Shifts available/assigned: Monday to Sunday (1-3 days off, varies), shifts start as early as 7:00 a.m. and end as late as 7:00 p.m. (multiple shifts possible, varies).
