***RFI response*** (1) Workers supervised: the family's nanny/nannies. The family currently employs one (1) nanny assigned to the children. Supervision includes setting the nanny's schedule and hours; assigning and directing childcare-related tasks; relaying the parents' instructions and standards; acting as point of contact between parents and nanny; and monitoring performance. (2) Home maintenance/repair: the Manager arranges, schedules, supervises, and verifies work by outside contractors and does not perform repairs. Tasks: identifying needs (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, house cleaning, electrical maintenance, appliance repair, landscaping, handyman); selecting contractors; comparing quotes; scheduling site access around family/staff schedules; approving payment; recordkeeping; and warranty follow-up. Authority: may select, engage, and pay routine/recurring contractors (ex. House cleaners) without prior approval within a parent-set per-project budget, and direct vendors on scope, location, and timing; non-routine or higher-cost projects above that threshold go to the parents for final approval with the Manager's recommendation. Supervisory duties: monitoring on-site progress; inspecting work for scope and quality; . These contractors are independent vendors, not household employees. Tools: computer/laptop, smartphone, email, scheduling apps, spreadsheets and digital records, and payment methods (online bill-pay, household cards, or check); contractors supply their own tools and materials. (3) Household bills/administrative duties: receiving, organizing, and tracking bills/invoices (utilities, internet/cable/phone, insurance, subscriptions, services); tracking due dates and paying on time by online banking, scheduled/auto pay, or check; maintaining records of bills, receipts, and payments; tracking spending against a budget and reconciling accounts; managing household mail and documents; and handling children's paperwork (school enrollment, medical/insurance forms); Techniques/technologies/equipment: computer/laptop and smartphone; online banking and bill-pay platforms; spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) and/or finance/budgeting software (e.g., Quicken, QuickBooks); email and calendar apps; scanner, printer, and digital/cloud plus physical filing; and payment methods including household cards and check. ***Original*** This is a Household Manager position, in a household that has multiple domestic staff. The Household Manager will be responsible for managing the household’s schedules and calendars, including the schedules of the children and the childcare workers assigned to those children. One of the children is an infant. These duties include: Event planning, organizing, and coordination for children; Arranging appointments for personal and professional needs for children and family; Scheduling home maintenance and repair work, and supervising the project; Handling household bills and administrative duties for parents, as related to both the family and the children; Running errands and performing necessary tasks, like grocery delivery; Supervision of other household staff, such as nannies, of which the family has one; Shopping for food, supplies, and other requested items Other Domestic Duties: The Household will sometimes be responsible for the following domestic duties as part of their job: i. Dishes/bottles: Assisting as necessary with the daily cleaning of all bottles, cups, dishes, etc. that are used by the Child and the domestic staff. ii. Play Area: Pick up toys and clothes daily in the Child’s play areas (including Child’s rooms, play room, living room, and outside) and rotate toys periodically. iii. Child’s Laundry: Weekly, or upon request, cleaning of baby’s laundry to include clothing, bedsheets, bibs, high chair cover, changing pad, etc.
