Job Duties:
• Oversee all steward operations to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across kitchens, storage areas, and back-of-house facilities. • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations (local, state, and federal). • Manage, train, schedule, and evaluate stewarding staff to maintain operational efficiency and high standards. • Maintain inventory of china, glassware, silverware, kitchen equipment, and cleaning supplies. • Control stewarding labor and operating costs while maintaining quality standards. • Coordinate with Executive Chef and Food & Beverage leadership to support daily operations and special events. • Develop and enforce cleaning schedules, sanitation procedures, and preventive maintenance programs. • Oversee proper handling, storage, and disposal of waste, recycling, and hazardous materials. • Inspect kitchens and back-of-house areas regularly and address deficiencies promptly. • Ensure proper use, care, and storage of all equipment to minimize breakage and loss. • Assist with setup and breakdown for banquets, events, and outlets as needed. • Support audits, health inspections, and internal quality assurance reviews.

This position operates in a private club setting within a commercial kitchen environment. The employee also works in a hot, humid, and noisy environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The kitchen floor may be slippery from moisture and grease. This role routinely uses sinks, dishwashers, and tools to clean kitchen appliances. Employees in this role are frequently exposed to hot water, garbage disposal, and cleaning chemicals. The employee may be exposed to hazards, including, but not limited to, cuts, slips, trips, falls, and burns. Frequent hand washing is required. May be required to move in and outdoors throughout the shift. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, and occasionally taste or smell. The employee may occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The role frequently involves lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, including kitchen supplies and equipment. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Days and hours of work vary based on need. Early mornings, frequent evenings, and weekends, including holidays, work is required. All applicants, including domestic and H2B visa holders and employees in seasonal, full-time, and annual positions, must pass drug tests and background checks. These standards apply to all applicants regardless of national origin, race, or gender. The position is full-time at 35 hours per week. The Executive Steward supervises stewarding operations across four private clubs, each with its own dining, event, and banquet calendar. As a result, the specific days and daily hours of work vary by worksite location, by week, and by business volume. A single fixed daily schedule does not accurately represent the position. The employer therefore discloses the actual range of scheduling as follows. Days of work: Sunday through Saturday. The clubs operate seven days per week. The specific days worked in any given week will vary depending on scheduling and business level. Weekend, evening, and holiday work is regularly required. Hours of work: Shifts are scheduled at various times between 5:00 AM and 11:00 PM. Typical shifts include, but are not limited to, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, and 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The specific shift assigned will vary depending on scheduling and business level. The worker must be available to work all shifts. The employer will use a single workweek (Sunday through Saturday) as its standard for computing wages due. The total number of hours offered will meet the three-fourths guarantee required under 20 CFR 655.20(f) over each applicable period.

Overtime may be available and, if worked, will be paid at a rate of $36.69 per hour (time and one-half the regular rate of $24.46 per hour) for hours worked over forty (40) in a workweek. Raises and bonuses are available based on performance or length of service with the employer. Free meals are provided to employees while on duty. Optional medical and vision benefits are available to employees whose expected period of employment exceeds six (6) months. An optional 401(k) retirement plan is available to eligible employees following 30 days of continuous employment. Optional shared employee housing is available for workers relocating to begin employment. If accepted, the cost of housing is $650.00 per month plus a refundable up-front security deposit of $350.00. Daily transportation to and from the worksite is provided at no charge to workers who elect to stay in the optional assisted housing. All other employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from the worksite. Transportation is provided to all workers to and from the airport upon arrival and departure, and to their respective housing units, at no charge.
