Job Duties:
***RFI response*** Cook may work at multiple restaurant-style dining outlets, including fine dining and casual restaurants providing table service. The Cook prepares and cooks menu items primarily on an à la carte, made-to-order basis for individual guests, following standardized recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines. Limited advance preparation of ingredients is performed as part of normal restaurant kitchen operations. Cooks may also be assigned in our banquet kitchen to prepare large-batch cooking, sauces, and plated or buffet-style meals for large gatherings. The Cook performs routine ingredient preparation duties in support of cooking functions, including preparing small batches of sauces, dressings, and recipe components; preparing fresh fruits and vegetables, including juicing when used as ingredients in menu items; and assisting in preparing and handling specialty ice in accordance with kitchen and restaurant service standards. Tasks are performed using standard kitchen equipment such as knives, cutting boards, mixers, blenders, juicers, refrigeration units, and ice machines. ***Original*** Duties: Will work at multiple outlets on property. Prepare ingredients for cooking and serving, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. Prepare cold foods, including batching, juicing and assist in preparing specialty ice for bars and restaurants. Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently. Monitor food and beverage quality while preparing food and beverage. Set-up and break down work station. Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles. Wash and disinfect kitchen area, commissary, tables, tools, knives, and equipment. Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food. Complete all closing duties, locking refrigerators and restocking. Other related duties. Requirements: High School Degree or equivalent required. One year related cook experience required. Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Must be able to communicate fluently with our English-speaking guest and employees. Pre-employment Criminal Background Check. Post-employment Drug Tests are administered only if reasonable suspicion present. Pay Rate: $20.37 to $20.60/hr. O/T $30.55 to $30.90 /hr.
