Start Date: December 1, 2018 End Date: April 15, 2019 Mount Snow Ltd., located in West Dover, Vermont, seeks ten (10) full-time, temporary Lift Operators. Lift Operators will execute the safe, efficient and courteous loading, seating, and unloading of skiers, snowboarders, and other users; maintain safe levels of snow throughout the entire lift station area and maintain safe walking surfaces; ensure guests have proper credentials to access the lift system; stop or slow the lift for safety/emergency purposes/disable users; perform daily pre-operational checks and inspections to ensure safe operation of lift; respond to and report emergencies and accidents following proper procedures; assist in assuring and monitoring the operation of the lifts in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and other state and federal regulations. Will report directly to Lift Operations Manager at Mount Snow. Travel is not required. Daily transportation is not provided to and from worksite. On-the-job training is provided. Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening and weekend hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Work hours are from 6:00am to 1:00pm and may vary. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first workweek. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last workweek. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $12.26 per day during travel to a maximum of $51.00 per day with receipts. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by government (excluding passport fees). High School Diploma, general education degree (GED) or its equivalency required. Ability (in English) to read and comprehend simple instructions and respond to questions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence, including maintaining written logs, reports, and checklists; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees; must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds, and perform other physically demanding skills; must be able to work weekends and holidays, work effectively at high elevations, and function effectively in extreme cold weather conditions and in other inclement weather conditions.

Prevailing Wage Determination: P-400-18165-685724. Wage: $11.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly. Overtime, when available, is paid at $16.50 per hour. On January 1, 2019, the wage rate and overtime wage rate paid for this position may increase by a percentage equal to the percentage increase to the Vermont State Minimum wage (no more than 5%). A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Housing is not offered. As an optional benefit, the employer assists employees with locating housing. If accepted, the employer will secure a lease on employees' behalf and offers a housing loan repayment program (HLRP). Under this optional program, employee pays an up-front deposit of $1,000. Employee then provides a bi-weekly payment until loan is paid in full according to the signed loan agreement. All deductions from paycheck required by law will be made.
